Obituary for Franklin Carlson
Mr. Franklin Lloyd Carlson, 87, passed away in Ocala, FL on February 9, 2018. He was born in Galesburg, IL. He was a US Navy veteran and served on the USS Joseph P. Kennedy DD850. Frank was a retired Patrolman. He was a member of St. Jude’s Knights of Columbus and St. Jude’s Catholic Community. He moved to Marion Oaks in 1981 from Meriden, CT. He is predeceased by two sons: John Carlson and Raymond Carlson; one sister: Betty Petrakis; a son-in-law: Theodore Cyrul; two nephews: Ted Cyrul and Peter Petrakis. Frank is survived by his loving wife Patricia of 53 years. One daughter: Leslie Carlson of Mariden, Ct. One son Richard Carlson of Mariden, CT. One sister: Jean Murawski of Ill. A daughter-in-law: Kathryn Lehrmitt and husband Craig. Seven grandchildren: Travis Cunningham and wife Iris, Eric Cunningham, Desiree Miller, Jillian Carlson, April Arzonico, Ashleigh Carlson, Rhiannan Carlson. Six great grandchildren: Josephine Franco, Silas Franco, Jackson Cunningham, Dextar Cunningham, Jo-leigh DiFusco, and Damiano DiFusco. Several nieces, nephews and many friends. A visitation will take place at St. Jude’s Catholic Community Church on Thursday February 15th from 9-11 AM with a Catholic Mass at 11AM. Roberts Bruce West Funeral Home made the arrangements.
