Obituary for Leonarda "Leona" Severance
Leonarda Rosolino Severance, 93, born January 12, 1924 to Vito Rosolino and Rosa Pino Rosolino in Detroit, Michigan, passed away January 5, 2018 in Cedar Hill, Texas.
Leona was most recently a member of Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas, but had been a member at Ocala First Assembly in Ocala, Florida, for over 30 years. Leona and her husband Frank were also the pastors of Oxford First Assembly in Oxford, Florida, for nine years. Leona loved people. Her greatest joy was serving others. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed crafting of all kinds, especially quilting. She gifted so many people with her hand stitched quilts. Leona loved music and taught herself to play the piano completely by ear. She loved the old hymns and really enjoyed when people would sing along.
Leona was preceded in death by both parents; her husband of 34 years, Frank Edward Severance; brothers, Russel Rosolino, Frank Rosolino, Joe Rosolino, and sister Jackie Fronterea.
She is survived by daughter, Eleanore Hurst and husband, Bill; son, Edward and wife Leah; daughter, Rosanne Hennesy and husband, Mark; ten grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
The Severance family will receive friends for a Visitation Gathering 11AM-1PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the chapel of the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1PM, with Pastor Jeff Wade officiating. A Graveside Blessing will immediately follow at Pine Level Cemetery, 4552 Pine Level Cemetery Road, County Road 203, Oxford, Florida.
